When looking at the best DAMN
race team in town, it is hard to single out any one person! So,
the race committee attempts to look at all racers when giving
out awards, and concentrate individuals who had a particularly
good year. But please remember, each and every one of you makes
the FAGOWEE race team GREAT!!
The Racer of the Year is determined
by whoever has the most points.

Congratulations go out to our 2 Racers of the Year, this is the
man and woman with the most points for our team. It was a close
call on a few and when taking all points in all their classes
Renae Delvitto and Gary Krysiak came out on top.

Most Improved
When the race committee looks at Most Improved, we don’t
just evaluate who has the most points between the prior and
current years or who got strikes and/or bumps or who moved up in
their class. We also consider has the makeup of that class
changed, are you beating people you did not use to beat. We look
at how someone did, relative to their competition from one year
to the next. How have you improved over the course of the
season? Did you finish strong. Are you the person to beat NOW
in that class? Of course we also look for someone who’s skiing
has changed – for the better!
Though the competition was tight, our Most Improved racers this
Year were clearly Dave Zavesky and Deb Bunnell.
WHAT A CUTE LITTLE PAIR THEY MAKE and WHAT a year they had .. I
guess the Bunny Ears really do make you faster? ..either that or
the In Between The Sheets action before the race? |

This year we decided to
start a new
award labeled “I CHUCKED UP”.

In honor of our beloved long standing racer LAME DUCK
Chuck McConnell. And standing up ain’t the reason he is
the 1st recipient.
So Tom, “what is a chucked up award” ? Well Dorothy
here is the answer, we (race committee) figured once a
year we should congratulate/award/have a little fun at a
racers expense for something they did during the race
season.
This year Chuck McConnell came out of the race gates and
made it a dashing 5 feet out of the gate before he
tumbled down, tripping over his skis as he tried to gain
an advantage over his competitors .. He didn’t even get
to the 1st gate, lost his skis total YARD SALE!! |

Happily, there were no Broken Tomahawk
to present!!!
These are just a few of the individuals,
who made it happen for the FAGOWEE race team this season, and
the race committee would like to thank each and every racer for
a fantastic year. Not only is this the best
damn ski club in town, but now we are also the best DAMN Race
team!
