2nd Annual Ohio City Pub Crawl

Saturday October 3rd was quite a cool, neat, fun, somewhat classy night of fun as we held the 2 Annual West 25th Bar Crawl for Charity.  When we were setting this event up the plan was to include the new and revamped ABC Tavern on West 25th.  On one of our site visits, the new owner Randy said “Just start the party here!”  Well the rebuild project was not 100% just a week before and Randy was like –“We got you covered, we will take care of you.  Oh by the way we aren’t open yet.”   So, we’re throwing a bar crawl and it is starting at a bar that’s not open yet. In some way that sounds so Fawowee-ish.   How is this going to work out?  The other places are ready for us.  We have discounts on wine, beer and food (50% off appetizers at the Market Ave Wine Bar).  Still, what is the story on the ABC?

Randy, owner of the ABC, thinking on his feet throws a private party for his family, friends and the Fagowees!   The pre-opening party was a smash.  Six or seven bartenders, no long waits for drinks.  Servers were walking around with plates of food…lots of food…excellent food!  The place looked great, we were all having a most excellent time.  Randy took the best care of us and treated us like family. I have already been back to the ABC for dinner-excellent again.  Show your thanks for the great job the ABC did by stopping in for a little food and drink.

Finally though, the crawl crept forward to the Bier Market, cheap Stella’s and Pomme frittes, fun crowd, ran into more Fagowees.  Played wing man and set up the old guy.  Then we rolled to the Market Ave Wine Bar.  Several people were already there.  Tables were stacked with at least 3 apps for every 4 people (remember 50% off).  More excellent stuff!  The manger Joy did us right, did us excellent.  Another place to add to your list of small establishments that serve up excellent food and treat their customer’s great.

After cleaning off our plates we rolled down to The Old Angle Tavern for all night happy hour prices and the raffle.  Several people won Fagowees gear and yes I was having issues reading those raffle tickets.  After the prizes were all given out the crowd rolled to which ever place had caught their fancy.  Which meant, back to the private party (just love saying that) for most of the group and a couple of hours upstairs in the loft playing some stick (8-Ball) and watching the crowd below.

Finally, not only did everyone have a great time, we raised $250.00 for the Cleveland Hunger Center.

An excellent finish to an excellent night.
